Fall was never really a thing for me until I moved to Tennessee.

Here’s a perfect fall day in Tennessee.

I never really noticed trees changing colors in California (although when I go back now I appreciate the foliage). The only difference is the trees in California are put there by man, not a wild jungle like Tennessee.

So while I appreciate it, it’s man made and nowhere near as beautiful as the real deal in Tennessee.

We’ve become hyper aware of the condition of the leaves. Melissa notices the second they start to change. Decorating for fall is like decorating for Christmas for Melissa.

She had a real fall growing up so she’s been able to appreciate the beauty and spread the cheer in our household.

It’s so crazy to me just how the seasons develop. It’s like the trees change slowly and then there’s some shift in temperature and day length and they begin to change rapidly.

It was the end of September and we decided it was officially time to decorate the house for fall.

We had one small problem…we had only decorated our apartment until this year.

We have hardly any decor.

So we started off the decor fun by doing a fall decor haul and really enjoying the crisp air and making our home feel a bit more homey.
